We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Bill of Materials (BOM) Engineer to join our engineering team. The BOM Engineer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing accurate and comprehensive Bills of Materials for all products throughout their lifecycle. This role is critical in ensuring that product data is accurate and up-to-date, supporting efficient manufacturing, procurement, and product development processes.
As a BOM Engineer, you will collaborate closely with design engineers, manufacturing teams, supply chain, and quality assurance to ensure that all components and assemblies are correctly documented and aligned with engineering changes. You will also play a key role in implementing and maintaining product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and ensuring data integrity across multiple platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or manufacturing, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with PLM and ERP systems. You should be comfortable interpreting engineering drawings, understanding part specifications, and managing complex product structures.
Key responsibilities include creating and updating BOMs based on engineering drawings and design changes, validating part numbers and descriptions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting cross-functional teams with accurate product data. You will also be expected to identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices in BOM management.
